Waypoint Students exists to help 6-12th graders belong in community, grow in truth, and become mature followers of Jesus.
Built on the foundation of Colossians 1:28, Waypoint Students is a place where teenagers can build a lasting faith, discover their God-given purpose, and learn what it means to walk with Jesus every day. Where culture and circumstances shift, we invite students to anchor their true identity in him. Whether you’ve grown up in church, are coming for the first time, or don’t know quite what you believe, we’ve got a seat saved for you here!
Middle and High School can be hard to navigate for students and for parents. Our goal is to walk alongside students and their families through every step of the journey by equipping them with consistent biblical teaching, trusted leaders, and memorable moments that help students take their next step toward a lifetime of following Jesus and influencing their world for him.

We gather every Sunday morning at Escobedo Middle School during our 9:30 and 11:00 AM services. Students hang out, play games, and connect in the courtyard before and after service, then worship together with the rest of our church in the main services.

A warm welcome and zero pressure! Whether you’re attending Sunday services, an event, or walking up to the courtyard to hang with other students, our team will help them feel right at home, introduce them to their peers, and show them where to go. No need to dress up or have everything figured out before coming. Come as you are!

Your student’s safety is a top priority for us! Adult Waypoint Students volunteers complete a background check and safety awareness training. Additionally, all host homes and group gatherings maintain appropriate leader-to-student ratios so that every student is known, cared for, and supervised in a safe environment. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more about how we go above and beyond to keep our students safe!
