Who We Are
Waypoint Church will exist to help people find & follow Jesus.
We envision Waypoint Church as a community of ordinary, imperfect people walking together with Jesus. In a world that feels scattered and exhausting, we are searching for a life that holds together—a life with steady ground, clear direction, deep belonging, meaningful purpose, and a growing sense of wholeness and peace.
We believe that kind of life is found in Jesus.
Why the Northwest?
Northwest Las Vegas has grown rapidly in recent years. Communities like Skye Canyon, Providence, and Centennial Hills are now home to tens of thousands of people—but north of the 215 there is only about one Christian church for every 30,000 residents. We believe every community deserves places where people can encounter Jesus, find belonging, and grow in faith. That’s why we’re starting a new church in Northwest Las Vegas.
About the Pastor
Seth Philip and his wife, Megan, are planting Waypoint Church in Northwest Las Vegas. Before moving to Las Vegas, they spent nearly 15 years in Japan helping start new churches and walking alongside people from all kinds of backgrounds as they explored faith.
Now, along with their four kids, they’re glad to call Las Vegas home.
Seth cares deeply about creating a church where anyone can come as they are—whether they’ve followed Jesus for years or aren’t sure what they believe. Waypoint is a place to ask honest questions, build real relationships, and take a next step with Jesus.

All are welcome to join in for an afternoon of community + family fun hosted by Waypoint Church at Skye Canyon Park.
When: Sunday, April 19 2026 from 3-5PM
Where: Skye Canyon Park (Main Field)
What to Expect: 100 ft Obstacle Course, Games for all Ages, Family-Friendly Music, Shaved Ice, Community Fun
What to Bring: Kites, blankets, chairs, and sunscreen!
Where to Park: Please park in the East and North Skye Canyon Park lots with overflow along W. Skye Canyon Park Drive.
Will There be Food? Each of the first 100 families will receive a token for a FREE 8 oz. shaved ice compliments of Waypoint Church. Additional may be purchased for $5 each! Free bottled water will also be available. Feel fee to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grass.
